PITTSBURGH – June 23, 2008 – Dave Smith Chevrolet in Penn Hills continues its expansion, adding Valerie Tierno as its first fleet/commercial specialist, to complement its staff of seasoned sales and service professionals.

Ms. Tierno has more than 25 years of automotive sales and leasing experience, and was most recently general manager at a local Ford dealership in Pittsburgh. She was previously a sales consultant for another Pittsburgh area Chevrolet dealership, specializing in commercial sales, service and leasing.

“Valerie has a very strong following in the fleet and commercial area due to her knowledge, her exceptional customer service and long-standing commitment to the business community,” said Dave Smith. “We’re very pleased to add her to our team, and look forward to serving her customers.”

Ms. Tierno is the current president of the Wilkinsburg Chamber of Commerce, a member of the East Hills Initiative and a former Rotary Club member. She’s been recognized for her professional achievements in automotive sales and service as part of the GM Mark of Excellence Awards. The Mark of Excellence program is reserved for only a select few outstanding GM personnel, acknowledging their superior sales volume and exceptional dedication to customer service and satisfaction. Additionally, Ms. Tierno has undergone extensive sales, service and management training with both Ford and GM, and is certified in many areas, including Internet sales, management and commercial sales and leasing.

Valerie is a graduate of Penn Hills High School and the Leadership Pittsburgh program. A Penn Hills native and current resident, she has a daughter, a son and two granddaughters.
