The Pennsylvania Securities Commission has issued a cease and desist order against James Auten of Penn Hills, who the state said was selling unregistered securities through residential real estate deals.

Auten and Home Buying Solutions Inc. were seeking investors in June to fund a real estate program through which it would buy and sell real estate, and offer the investors a return, the Pittsburgh Trib reports.
