PITTSBURGH – April 23, 2008 – Herbert S. “Herb” Mitnick has joined the sales team at Dave Smith Chevrolet in Penn Hills as sales manager. Mitnick comes to Dave Smith Chevrolet after having worked in the automotive industry for many years, having sold Chevrolets for the last decade.

In his new position, he will manage the sales force, train new hires and work with owner Dave Smith to increase the sales volume of the dealership through the entire line of new cars, SUVs and trucks, as well as its certified pre-owned vehicles. Mitnick previously served on the Penn Hills police force and worked in the bar and restaurant industry as well.

“I believe we’re building the best automotive sales team in Pittsburgh, and Herb is another key piece of that,” said Dave Smith. “Having worked in many dealerships across the city, I’ve seen the best and now have the opportunity to bring them here to Dave Smith Chevrolet.”

Mr. Mitnick is a long-time resident of Monroeville, and a graduate of Penn Hills High School and Boyce Community College. He has two sons and three grandchildren.
