Friends' sale
Friends of the Penn Hills Library's spring book sale begins today (Thursday) and continues Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the library.
Thousands of used hardcover and paperback books, audio books, CDs, videotapes, DVDs, computer software and records will be available.
Hours are 5 to 7 p.m. today, when a presale for Friends members only will be held (members should bring their membership cards; memberships will be available at the door); 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, when a bake sale will be held; 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, which will be "buy one, get one" day; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, which will be "bag day."
YogaFit
George Bender, a certified yoga instructor, will speak during a free YogaFit demonstration at 7 p.m. next Tuesday at the library.
The Yogafit program will be demonstrated via DVD. Sign up by calling 412-795-3507.
On May 24, Bender will begin an eight-week series of weekly classes for beginners and experienced yoga students that will be held on Saturday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Cost for those classes is $65; to sign up, call the library at 412-795-3507.
Stamping
An art stamping demonstration will be held at 1 p.m. on June 7 at the library.
Chris Nicely will lead the two-hour class, which will cover how to make greeting cards with stamps. Students will make three greeting cards to take home. Cost is $7. Seating will be limited. To register, call 412-795-3507.
Rabbits
Rabbits will visit the library at 7 p.m. on June 12 for a free program open to children and adults.

Game
Players of Heroscape, a Milton Bradley game, are invited to William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills at 1 p.m. on June 11.
The game will be provided. Participants must be at least 9 years old.
After the June 11 event, the group will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Summer programs
Summer reading programs for teens and adults will start soon.
During June, teens and adults can register for contests in person at the library. Registration by phone will not be accepted.
Contestants will receive one coupon for each book they read; coupons will be put in boxes for prizes. At the end of the summer, winners will win donated prizes or gift cards.
