Church briefs for May 1, 2008

Hebron United Presbyterian Church, 10460 Frankstown Road, will have a "New to You" sale on May 21 and 22.

Hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. on May 21 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 22, which will be "bag day." A baked goods sale also will be held both days.

Grilled hot dogs, other home cooking and pop will be sold around 6 p.m. on May 21.

Donations of items for the sale can be brought to the church's Barclay Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. May 12 through 16 and on May 19 and 20.

Items that will be accepted include clothing, lamps, electronics, jewelry, books, housewares, linens, toys, games, crafts, sporting goods, tools, "bric-a-brac" and holiday decorations. Electrical items should be in good working order or have labels for any problems.

Donations of furniture cannot be accepted until May 19.

Proceeds of the sale will benefit Hebron United Presbyterian Women programs and mission giving.

St. Gerard Majella

St. Gerard Majella Church, 121 Dawn Drive, will hold a flea market and craft sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17.

Tables still are available for rent at $15 each. To reserve tables, call Rose Graziano at 412-795-0085 after 7 p.m.

Free clothing

One Vision Ministries distributes free clothing to local children and adults from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

This is a clothing exchange ministry that accepts clothing donations throughout the year. Shoes also are accepted.

Clothing can be dropped off from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Sundays at New Vision Community Church, 3534 Laketon Road.
