St. Maurice teacher wins diocesan Golden Apple

Teresa McDaniel, an elementary teacher at St. Maurice School in Forest Hills, is one of 10 teachers in Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Pittsburgh who received a Golden Apple Award for excellence on Tuesday at the Westin Convention Center Hotel.

Bishop Donald Wuerl presented the awards.

Each awardee received $5,000.
