Free transportation to the annual school picnic at Kennywood on May 23 will be provided for students in Penn Hills public schools, St. Bartholomew School and St. Joseph School.

Only students are permitted to ride school buses to and from the amusement park. Pickup will be at 9:30 a.m. at designated bus stops.

Buses will leave for the return trip at 7 p.m. from the new bus entrance near the park's pedestrian tunnel.

Kennywood tickets will be available for purchase by community members from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. next Wednesday in the front boardroom at the district administration building on Collins Drive, where doors will close at 2 p.m. for final sales.

School ticket sale price is $19; Giant Eagle price is $22. Only cash or money orders made payable to "Kennywood" will be accepted. No personal checks will be accepted.
