Lee Lacey,
U.S. Navy veteran of World War II
Lee H. Lacey, formerly of Oakmont and Longwood at Oakmont, died March 26, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Helen Bach Lacey.
Surviving are his children, Sue Watt of Aurora, Colo., Dale Lacey of Pasadena, Md., Jane Buie of Aurora, Colo., David Lacey of San Francisco, Mark Lacey of Oakmont and James Lacey of Melbourne, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In 1959 he moved to Oakmont and took the job of chief executive officer at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center where he served until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Lacey was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
His honors included Distinguished Career Award from National Association of Rehabilitation; Distinguished Service Career Award from Pennsylvania Association of Rehabilitation Facilities; Joseph F. Mulach Jr. Award for Vocational Rehabilitation Centers from Vocational Rehabilitation Center of Allegheny County; and Kenneth W. Hylbert Award from Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association.
Mr. Lacey's community work included National Rehabilitation Association, American Field Service, American Management Association, Rotary Club of Fox Chapel, Society for the Advancement of Management, University Club, Oakmont School Board, Oakmont Centennial Organization Committee, Oakmont Carnegie Library Expansion Project and Oakmont United Methodist Church.
Friends were received at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Oakmont.
A memorial service was held at Longwood at Oakmont.

Thomas Leax
WWII Army veteran
Thomas A. Leax, 92, of Monroeville, formerly of Penn Hills, died March 26, 2008.
He was an assembler at Westinghouse Air Brake for 33 years. Mr. Leax was a World War II Army veteran.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Alverna Orr Leax; a sister, Wilma Orner; and brothers, John, Russell, Herbert and Robert Leax.
Surviving are his son, Thomas R. (Michele Gutman) Leax of Monroeville; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Jeffrey.
Friends were received at Jobe Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Monroeville. Interment with military honors was at Restland-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
Walter Sasinoski
WWII Navy veteran
Walter Sasinoski, 89, of Springdale died March 19, 2008, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1918, in Blawnox, he was a son of Benjamin and Stella Blitzski Sasinoski. Mr. Sasinoski was a World War II Navy veteran. He was an avid reader.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Leona Mink Sasinoski; children, Walter (Sherry) Sasinoski of Penn Hills and Margaret Elosser of Verona; brothers, Benjamin and Fred and August Sasinoski; grandchildren, James Davis Jr., Walter Aaron and Lauren Collins and Kristin Sasinoski; great-grandchildren, Pierce Collins and Brandon Gambel; and longtime friend, Thomas O'Kain of Plum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Edward, Steven, Raymond and William Sasinoski; and sister, Theresa Westcott.
Friends and family were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation & Alternative Services Inc., Oakmont. Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
Margaret Aquila
Penn Hills resident
Margaret Aquila, 88, of Penn Hills died March 26, 2008, in St. Margaret Hospital.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Valerio and Maria Iacaboni D'Aquila.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Aquila; daughters, Regina Kopinski, Maria (Steve) Fine and Debbie (Joe) Migliozzi; grandchildren, Matthew, Michele, Rachel, Dan, David, John, Samantha, Jeffrey, Marc and Evan; and a sister, Tina Aliberti.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joe Kopinski; and siblings, Helen Amendola and Yolanda Troian.
Friends were received at William F. Gross Funeral Home Ltd., Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial was in St. Joseph's Church, Verona. Interment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Connie Cenci
Great-grandmother
Connie "Chickie" Cenci, 87, formerly of Penn Hills, died March 29, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Cenci; children, Joseph (Kathy) Cenci and Connie (Lou) Tarquinio; siblings, Tony Piccirilli and Betty Vespaziani; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Charles W. Trenz Funeral Home Inc., Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Joy Church, Plum Borough.
Louis Anschuetz
Formerly of Penn Hills
Louis E. Anschuetz, 86, formerly of Penn Hills, died March 26, 2008, at Elk's retirement home, Bedford City.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Emil and Helen Hans Anschuetz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anschuetz.
He is survived by his son, Louis J. Anschuetz; and a grandchild, Nika Anschuetz.
Friends were received at William F. Gross Funeral Home Ltd., Penn Hills. Interment was at Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville.
Raymond W. Straka
WWII Army veteran
Raymond W. "Bill" Straka, 91, formerly of Forest Hills, died March 28, 2008.
He was the owner of Able Pattern Co. in Aspinwall. Mr. Straka was a World War II Army veteran. He was a former member of Churchill Country Club, where he loved to play golf, and was a member of Turtle Creek Rotary Club.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Doris Larson Straka; a son, Raymond W. Straka Jr.; and siblings, Mildred Henningan and John Straka.
Surviving are his sons, Robert (Kathleen) Straka of Murrysville and Edward (Bonita) Straka of Penn Hills; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Jobe Funeral Home, Turtle Creek. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. John Fisher Parish. Interment with military honors was at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Francis McIntyre
WWII Navy veteran
Francis "Frank" McIntyre, 81, of Penn Hills died March 30, 2008.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a 1952 graduate of St. Vincent College. Mr. McIntyre was a member of AOH Division 17 in Monroeville, Knights of Columbus, East Pittsburgh VFW Post 5088, Pitcairn American Legion Post 0256 and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Brower McIntyre; children, John (Francene) McIntyre of Ohio, Scott McIntyre of Penn Hills and Christine (Danny) Callahan of Maryland; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Betty McIntyre of Turtle Creek.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today (Wednesday) and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home, Turtle Creek. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Colman Church, Turtle Creek. Interment with military honors will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Eva Coppolella
Infant daughter
Eva Janette Coppolella, infant daughter of Chrissy and Vinnie Coppolella, died March 23, 2008.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Dominic; sister, Mya; grandparents, Albert Gazzo, Ruth Mullennix, James Coppolella; great-grandparent, Donice Fogle; aunt and uncle, Barbie and Rick Zapata; and cousins, Zach and Jake.
Her grandmother, Janet Coppolella, preceded her in death.

Chester T. "Chet" "Cookie" Zera of Penn Hills died March 29, 2008.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Barbara Kilgour Zera; children, Marcy (Jerry) Sunday of Penn Hills and Chris (Maria) Zera of Penn Hills; grandchildren, Cullen, Chloe, Zera, Kelsey and Ashley; and a brother, Stephen Zera.
Friends were received at Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home Inc., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Word of God Parish, St. Anselm Church, Swissvale.
