Lois Richards
Moved to Massachusetts

Lois C. Clingman Richards, 88, of Plymouth, Mass., formerly of Penn Hills, died May 11, 2008.

A graduate of University of Michigan, she taught physical education in several areas, including Penn Hills.

Mrs. Richards was a founding member of Trinity Tower United Methodist Church in Penn Hills.

She also was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mrs. Richards loved to play tennis and enjoyed golfing and horses.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John Hoak Richards; brothers and sister, Harvey, Roger, Ralph and Mary Clingman; and parents, Charles and Lola Martin Clingman.

Surviving are her children, Gail Richards of Seattle, John Richards of Attleboro, Mass., Margaret Rice of Plymouth, Mass., and Jane Pfeilsticker of Valley of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Miriam Smith; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A service was held at Cape Cod Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cotuit, Mass. Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. this Friday at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pleasant Hills. Richard Davis Funeral Homes Inc., Massachusetts, handled arrangements.

Thomas Bruno
Retired draftsman

Thomas E. Bruno, 83, of Penn Hills, died May 14, 2008, at Seneca Place.

Born April 22, 1925, in Kenwood, Ohio, he was the son of Luigi and Mary Bruno.

He was a retired draftsman with Pittsburgh Design Services.

Mr. Bruno was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Homestead.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Maria Lavra Bruno.

Surviving are his children, Louis Bruno and Lisa Ann Romah; sister, Philomena Bruno; brothers, Frank and Sam Bruno; and a granddaughter.

Visitation was at Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Penn Hills. A service was held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Interment was at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
