Ann Hershey
Longtime first-grade teacher
Ann Wadsworth Hershey, 93, died April 21, 2008.
A Slippery Rock University graduate, she was a first-grade teacher for many years in Penn Hills School District.
Mrs. Hershey was an active member of Unity Community Church.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Bruneck and her husband, Charles, of Plum, Joan Broste and her husband, David, of Denver, Carolyn Redfield and her husband, John, of Houston and Robert Hershey and his wife, Jill, of Murrysville; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 31 at Unity Community Church, Plum.
Rosa Parrotta
Native of Italy
Rosa Parrotta, 85, of Penn Hills, died April 25, 2008, at St. Margaret Seneca Place, Penn Hills.
She was born in Catanzaro, Italy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmine Parrotta; and sister, Carmela Brogneri,
She is survived by her children, Nicola Parrotta and his wife, Elvina, Louis Parrotta, Enrico Parrotta and his wife, Nancy, and Rosemary Petrucci and her husband, John; siblings, Ada Giglio of Glenshaw and Joseph Cosentino and his wife, Joanne, of Penn Hills; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation & Alternative Services Inc., Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Bartholomew Church, Penn Hills. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Verona. Arrangements were handled by Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home Inc., Natrona Heights.
Edward Wright
Married 61 years
Edward George Wright, 88, of Murrysville, formerly of Penn Hills and Plum, died May 1, 2008.
He was the owner of Verona Road Dairy Queen for 11 years.
Mr. Wright was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran. He was an avid golfer and a member of Holiday Park United Methodist Church and Penn Hills Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Charlie; parents, James Sr. and Sarah Delancey Wright; sisters, Grace Skowronski and Mary Beckett-Gooseman; and brother, Paul Wright.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Lavelle Fisher Wright; children, Larry Edward Wright and his wife, Anna Marie, William Allen Wright and his wife, Dale Ann, and Elizabeth Ezar and her husband, Steve; brother, James Wright Jr.; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Anna Ingagliato
Grandmother of two
Anna Ingagliato, 77, of Penn Hills, died April 28, 2008, in Shadyside Hospital.
Born in Italy, she was the daughter of Louis and Maria Bernardon Longo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Llewellyn.
Surviving are her husband, Guy Ingagliato Sr.; son, Reno Longo and his wife, Carol; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was at William F. Gross Funeral Home, Penn Hills. Mass was celebrated in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Penn Hills. Interment was at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
Edward Kowalski
Moved to Florida
Edward Kowalski, 54, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Penn Hills, died April 30, 2008.
Born in Penn Hills, he was the son of Florence Kowalski and the late John Kowalski.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lisa Kowalski; children, Kara Winland and Cortney and John Kowalski; and sister, Barbara Wilson.
Interment was at Penbrook Pines in Florida. William F. Gross Funeral Home Ltd. In Penn Hills assisted with arrangements.
Charles Bartos
Married 36 years
Charles Joseph Bartos, 64, of Penn Hills, died April 28, 2008, at Residence for Renal Care, Pittsburgh.
Born June 3, 1943, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Gilbert and Margaret Tichon Bartos.
Mr. Bartos had worked as a computer operator at Highmark Inc. for more than 24 years.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michele Bruce Bartos; son, Christopher Bartos and his wife, Traci, of Kennedy; brother, George Bartos and his wife, Chris, of Wilkins; and a granddaughter.
Friends were received at Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home Inc., Arnold. Mass was celebrated in St. Irenaeus Roman Catholic Church, Oakmont. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
Thomas McMaster
Grandfather of one
Thomas E. McMaster, 69, of Penn Hills, died April 28, 2008, at UPMC St. Margaret.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard and Edna Harper McMaster; brother, Robert McMaster; and sisters, Margaret McMaster, Virginia Hurley and Anna Burton.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Stern McMaster; daughters, Joan Kok and her husband, James, Tracie Lakotas and her husband, John, and Nancy McMaster and her fiance, Nick Perina; brothers, Richard and David McMaster; sister, Margie Estatico; and a granddaughter.

James Rosso

James T. "Dutch" Rosso, 90, formerly of Penn Hills and Pittsburgh, died April 30, 2008, in Florida.
Surviving are his daughters, Cheryl Catalano and Delores Steck; sisters, Yola Petrone and Ann Rosso; and two grandchildren.

Catherine Shannon
Great-grandmother of two
Catherine R. Shannon, 85, of Penn Hills, died May 5, 2008.
Her husband, William J. Shannon, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Robert Shannon and his wife, Bernadette, and William M. Shannon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John Iagnemma
McKeesport native
John K. Iagnemma, 47, of Penn Hills, died April 30, 2008, at Forbes Hospice, Oakland.
Born July 28, 1960, in McKeesport, he was the son of Virginia Bucholz Iagnemma of Penn Hills and the late John Iagnemma.
A 1978 graduate of Penn Hills High School, he attended Robert Morris University. Mr. Iagnemma enjoyed hunting, fishing, accordion, guitar, music and the outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rosa Greco Iagnemma; children, Randall Iagnemma and Nicole Iagnemma, both of Scranton; sisters, Beverly Hilpert, Karen Ferrington and Ginger Smolenski; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation and Alternative Services Inc., Oakmont. Interment was at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroeville.

Margaret Leist
Had two grandsons
Margaret H. Stewart Leist, 74, of Penn Hills, died April 30, 2008.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Leist; and brother, Paul Stewart.
She is survived by her children, Diana Marie Paras and her husband, John, of Ross, and Michael Leist and his wife, Angela, of Brighton Heights; sister, Della Mieri and her husband, Andy Thomas, of Penn Hills; and two grandsons.

Anna Mohler
Pittsburgh native
Anna Marie Mohler, 90, of Penn Hills, died April 30, 2008, at St. Margaret Seneca Place, Penn Hills.
Born May 7, 1917, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Benedict and Marie Schneider Doerfler.
She worked as a division manager for Sears, East Liberty, for 43 years.
Mrs. Mohler was a member of St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Mohler; and brothers, Martin and Edward Doerfler.
Surviving are her son, Russell Mohler of Oakmont; sister, Evelyn Donatelli; three grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Family and friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation and Alternative Services Inc., Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church with the Rev. William Blough officiating. Interment was at St. Augustine Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
