The club will hold a memorial service in honor of deceased members.

The club is still collecting items and monetary donations for troops overseas. For more information on items on the troops' wish list or on joining the group, which is for people age 55 or older, call Shirley at 412-793-5879.
Property tax relief
The state will provide property tax relief to homeowners now that slots revenue from the state's gaming facilities have reached the necessary $400 million threshold.
State Rep. Anthony DeLuca (D-Penn Hills) said this year's distribution is the first ever provided under the Taxpayer Relief Act, which he voted for in 2006.
The Property Tax Relief Fund contains almost $613 million, which will be distributed to the state's school districts for property tax reductions. Those reductions will be reflected in school property tax bills that homeowners will receive this summer.
The estimated property tax relief per homeowner in Penn Hills is $189.
In 2007, gaming revenues helped expand the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program to help 540,000 Pennsylvania senior citizens receive $234 million in property tax relief.
