Statewide group honors district's communications
Penn Hills School District has been recognized for excellence in school communications.
The district received awards in the 2005 Pennsylvania School Boards Association's educational publications contest.
The district earned two awards of excellence - one for the Bright Futures community newsletter, the other for the district's No Child Left Behind annual report card. The awards and winning publications were on display at the PSBA Annual Conference this summer in Harrisburg.
The district's 2004-2005 activity calendar earned an honorable mention.
Superintendent Patricia Gennari said, "I was excited to learn that Penn Hills achieved this recognition for the second year in a row."
Penn Hills received an award of excellence last year for the Bright Futures newsletter.
